Alright, I got to meet him today. He came and conducted a rehearsal for my Chamber Winds/Choir Duel Concert we are having at Mt. SAC. He is so dynamic. I got the chills just watching him direct, let alone being able play a song he conducted. When he speaks, you just can not help but listen. WOW!! He is an awsome person too. Really funny, and an interesting life. Anywho...I don't know the point of this...later

my favorite piece by Eric Whitacre is most definitely Godzilla Eats Las Vegas, but I also really like Ghost Train and October. The only piece of his that I've played though is Noisy Wheels of Joy, which I didnt care too much for.

Last year in wind ensemble we played Sleep and Cloudburst. I think the only other one I've heard is Ghost Train ans that one sounded really cool. I think the choir version of Sleep sounds better than the one for band, though...

We've played almost all his concer works, Cloubdurst, October, Ghost Train, Sleep, attempted Godzilla Eats Las Vegas but ran out of time (Darn you end of school year!!!) Noise Wheels of Joy. There all beautiful. I also got to go see his Opera, Paradise Lost. WOW!!! That was freaking AMAZING!!! And Hila's voice... wow. I went with the Baritone player from my school and we got to meet him. She was just drooling... though he did remind me of a pirate because he had grown his hair out... He's an awsome person... ::drool::
