Green Band Benefit Concert

Post by Chapagne » Sat Dec 31, 2011 5:54 am

Since 2008, marching bands from Japan have come to the United States to shine at the Rose Parade as part of the Green Band Assn., a nonprofit established in 1998.

The group will hold a benefit concert to help victims of the magnitude 9 earthquake and the tsunami that devastated northern Japan in March. More than 20,000 people were killed or went missing.

The concert is scheduled for Kennedy High School in La Palma on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and will include two songs composed as a tribute to the victims and will also feature a slide show with images from the disaster.
