What is the most exciting concert piece you have ever played?
Mines are Flashing Winds by Jan Van der Roost and Fortress by Frank Ticheli.

Dunno if it's THE most for me, but "Festive Overture" by Shostakovich comes to mind.

Always more interesting to hear why from people on questions like these...

Praise Jerusalem by Alfred Reed - a piece where just when you think it can't get any more massive, the voice of God in the form of a brass choir gets in the conversation.

Masada by Ralph Hultgren - I only sight-read this once, but it absolutely thrilled me to the core. I believe it's based on a story of a bunch of people killing themselves rather than be taken into slavery by the opposing army. The chaos of the mixed meter and disjointed panic in the melodies were a perfect illustration.

Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story or Ticheli's Angels in the Architecture. Decisions decisions...

Most exciting? Not sure what that means exactly...as in difficult but fun to play?

The most difficult would be the William Walton Viola Concerto (absolutely a crazy hard bass bone part...)...but it wasn't fun to play...
