Christ, isn't he dead yet? He's like the Mummy, he's been around for about 700 years. :)

Okay, that was tacky of me. Seriously, though, the more my horizons are "broadened," the less impressed I am with Fennell's interpretations of music. I'm not saying he's a hack, far from it, he's just not the god I once thought him to be. He's an average to slighty-better-than-average musical interpretor. Let's chalk him up as one of the all-time greats, an innovater who furthered the cause of the band scene a great deal, and yet one who's time has long since passed.

Are you serious?

Dr. Fennell has probably FORGOTTEN more about music than you will ever know!!

He had a HUGE impact on what we all enjoy today in the band world.

Show some class.

You can always learn something from the masters. It's all up to you!

I was at this clinic and I came away with an even greater respect for this man.

I have been studying music A LOT longer than you and I still learned something.

GROW UP AND SHOW SOME RESPECT!!

Yes.

Yes, I have no doubt that's true.

Yes, I agree with that, also.

You know, I was about to type up this big long explanation about how much respect I have for what Frederick Fennell has done, or about how my posts are laced with hyperbole and exaggeration and should be taken with tongue planted firmly in cheek... but I'm not going to bother. Revile me or ignore me, no matter.

I'm afraid you took me a bit more seriously than I take myself.
