Under the baton of Director John Hausey, the Placentia Community Concert Band will be giving a concert on Thursday, August 7. The setting is outdoors, and the admission is free. The band is comprised of 80 adult musicians. Many school band directors and veterans of US military bands are members of the PCCB, and most of the PCCB members played in their university bands. Two PCCB members will be featured as soloists. Mark Wamhoff will play the cornet solo for The Carnival of Venice arranged for Wynton Marsalis by Donald Hunsberger, and Brian Williams (also a member of the Disneyland Band) will perform the piccolo solo for The Wren Polka.

I'll be there! Tri-city park is just a hop, skip, and a jump away for me. Plus, last time I checked, there were some people from my school who played in that band.
