Another SoCal passing...

For those who have been through the music program at Riverside Community College, this is certainly a great loss. I got word of this in my email.
Roger Rickson, Emeritus Director of Bands at Riverside (California)
Community College, and former director at Corona High School, passed
away from cancer on Sunday July 13th. Roger was also the author of
"ffortissimo", a bio-discography of Frederick Fennell. Most recently
Roger was the music director and founder of The Riverside Winds, a
community wind ensemble based in Riverside.
Roger was (and is) greatly loved will be missed by all who knew him, and
especially by his many former students and colleagues. Roger was one in
a million--his insight and vast knowledge of the wind band genre was
unmatched. His passing is a great loss to us all.
