All I heard and remember from my director was that Rio Americano HS took first in its division, with Foothill (Pleasanton) HS taking 2nd.

Garfield (Seattle ?, Washington) had the top honors...

El Dorado (Placentia, CA) had the second highest honors...

Esperanza (Anaheim, CA) came in fourth...

'tis all that I know for now.

:D Golden Valley High school (Merced) Jazz A was third in High school "A" Division, Golden Valley High school B was sixth in the :"Apprentice II" Division. CSU Fresno Jazz A scored a second and CSU Fresno Jazz B scored a fifth in the "Four Year College" Division.
My wife and I had the honor of listening to many of the Jazz groups at Reno this year and as always were extremely impressed by many of the groups performing there. Additional information regarding the top five groups in each division is available on the official Reno Jazz Festival website.
Congradulations to every band who performed in Reno. Good Job!
