Whats your jazz comp Set?

Post by kral(smdm) » Wed Dec 14, 2005 5:16 pm

Does anyone know what their set is going to be for the rest of the year?
If not, then what charts do you have lined up that look pretty noteworthy?

Over at our school were Playing:

Attack of the killer Tomatoes(awsome new Gorden Goodwin chart)
Cape Verdean Blues(Fast Latin Blues By Horace Silver)
Nature Boy(Interesting Ballad, Trombone section feature)
Blue Rondo a la turk(old classic, Very orchestral)

Thats the Set so far, we've also looked at:

Love for sale( nice fast chart by cole porter)
Nuttville( another fast latin/swing chart by horace Silver)
Sing, Sang, Sung(Gordon Goodwins remake of the old classic)
Frog lips(medium swing with a little bit of everything in it)
One o-clock jump(medium swing lots of piano)
Get in line(GG funk, about as funky as you can get with a good bass player)
Cut in run(Burnin, for the band that can play fast, with all sections)

So...............What are you guys playin?
