Anyone know where I can find a cheap practice mace?

I want to audition to be assistant drum major for my high school next year and I just need something to practice with.

I did the same exact thing last summer (:
online practice maces are around $140

but, what i did was, just ask anyone in your band if they have a practice one they can let you use for the amount of time you need.....

or just ask your current DM, he/she usually have extras or old beat up ones they own that they wouldn't mind letting you use.

Back in the day, we built practice maces with broomstick handles and metal pipe fittings. weight was about right.

that might be a good idea
ive been practicing with a broom but its too short and light
ill probably end up constructing a mace if i cant get one otherwise
