Copyrights for shows?

Post by toeknee tee win » Wed Feb 23, 2005 1:18 pm

So is there a copyright protection enforced in ADLA? Is there a rule where schools have to get permission for published music> Don't want anyone to get in trouble. I was interviewing at a school and they got sued for doing "Lord of the Rings."

Well, considering that ADLA uses different rules than WGI....It's probably legal.

Currently, the ADLA does not require a seperate copyright form from each line, however, you do sign a waiver on your application stating that you are responsible for securing any necessary permissions and the consequences that may result from the lack of proper authorization to arrange/perform.
