Vicfirth indoor mallets. Or you can over muffle your drum with bed sheets and use regualr mallets.
There is nothing more scary than a kid with an internet connection.

A lot of what you need depends on how your drums are tuned. Generally, if you use minimal muffling (keeping your "outdoor" tuning), smaller mallet heads that are also thinner will provide less surface contact and maintaiin articulation while lessening resonance (ring). If you have your heads muffled considerable, normal mallet heads will suffice, but I would still recommend going one size smaller per drum than you would for outdoors.
The key is to minimize resonance (ring) by either changing the head muffling or the amount of mallet surface contact, or both.

We use sheets to muffle our bass heads plus we use the Innovative Percussion Indoor Mallets. They have great response, great articulation, & come in 4 different sizes! Which is cool so you can match the size you need to specific drums.

The indoor bass mallets are really crappy. They break really easily and they feel awkward. What a lot of lines do is just use mallets meant for the top three drums on the bottom two.

Vic makes a good indoor bass mallet, the prob. that I have with it is the mallet is alum. so that is you have a lot of rim shots then your mallet is toast. @ Highland we use Pro-Mark indoor mallets. The tuning on the drum I keep it the same or just take it up a little just to get rid of some of the over tone that some drums can give. It always works out well for us and the judges never said something aout my tuning.
