I'm on bass right now but I really really really want snare, I probably won't make it though.

At the beginning of this year I moved from pit to snare. However, for the 04-05 season I am moving back. It has been such a learning experience though (even though it gave me many wrist problems).

Hi! Everyone

I had the opportunity to change instruments in mine whole marching band experience. I first, started on Bb Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Piccolo, Keyboard, Trumpet, Oboe then back to Bb Clarinet & Bb Trumpet.

Show off. Hehe, just kidding! Impressive. I'm jealous, you remind me of the drum major from my freshman year, MC.

Anyhew, from 2002-2004, I played tenors (in 2003 winter season I played snare though, slight interruption in the trend), but for 2004-05 I'm pit captain. :drop: Hee hee

i started on tenor sax and when i got to high school i had to switch to alto sax cause they didn't march tenors, then 2nd semester i played in winter percussion and played in pit ( lots of fun) then at the end of that year i switched to baritone and marched it. and w/ baritone along comes euphonium :D. i wanna learn to play more instruments. it's all fun. i might take on trombone soon. :D

last yr, i switched from tenor to snare when we transitioned from marching season to winter Drumline season. I enjoyed it, but this year I'm going back to tenors and staying, nothing beats tenors! (in my opinion :-P)

Hi! Everyone

Its me Elizabeth(Liz) Ortiz. I forget to say that just in the last 8 months I have make another instrument switch. To Pit(Front Ensemble) like Bells, Xylophone, Marimba so I can march with a drum corps.

I'm also starting to learn how to play "SNARE DRUM" just this month too.

I actually started out on colorguard. After three years, and being co-captain for two, I decided to try out pit. I started this last winter season and I LOVED it! This year, I'm going to be the Pit Captain. I'm really excited and I love Percussion! w00t!

Hey! krshootingstar

I think there is not really much of a difference between being a Pit Captain & Front Ensemble Captain. Actually they both means the same thing. But there are people that would both terms actually.
