I've seen many fine pits so far this year who play well as an ensemble, but the hands-down awards for best overall keyboard technique thus far goes to Woodbridge HS. I'm not sure who's coaching them, but their 4 mallet technique and tone production is outstanding! Keep it up!

I'm going to have to agree, even though I havnt seen them perform this year.
I'm basing this off of rehearsals I overheard. I used to take my clarinet lessons at Woodbridge and I would overhear the mallet players warming up. Then I would listen to their music and such. I actually recall a specific lesson when a pit member was first learning 4 mallet technique. Their coach was great, but I didn't know who it was.

i think Valhala high school has a good pit section too. i watched them during there warm up and there key player sound pretty solid and good technique. keep it up valhala.

I just saw Woodbridge tonight.
No joke, they are the real deal. The gem of the whole band is the pit.
I couldn't believe the quality and quantity of beats those mallet players were cranking out. And I'm not easily impressed.
