SCV & Matched grip
SCV was the first corps to introduce matched grip for snares in the 70's, and were well known for continuing to do so well through the 80's. This could mark a departure from the current trend and back to that style.

we at RB would LOVE to do indoor, we all want to so badly, but our band director wont let us...i guess its funding issues and stuff...our idea was to go outside the school, but that would be open class, and first year open class...our instructor said that wouldnt be cool cuz wed be the only ones. he said second year open class is competing with drum corps.
our only option for indoor seems to be DAC, he says. i doubt we'll do that, but we would all love to do something for the winter season.

it's the same story with us at MC. we're hoping to do a winter drumline for the first time this year, but i'm sure our school isn't planning on funding us. our instructor wants to do an independent line and maybe have students from other schools in it. i certainly hope this will all work out.
