haha we used hardimons as our "monkey sticks" for our tenors when we we're in high school. I prefer the hannums or the d-lites (small version of delucias). IP makes the best tenor mallets IMO.

Ugh... I HATE IP tenor mallets. We had to use them last year in indoor, and I hated them. I was so used to my freakin' awesome front-heavy Vic Firth mallets. Using the IP mallets are like drumming with toothpicks.
