Congrats to all the the groups Nor-Cal groups who made finals at WGI world championships this past weekend. Congradulations to the Freelancers (PIW 6th place), James Logan HS (PSW 8th place), RIPE (PIA Bronze Medalist), and Beyer HS (PSA silver medalist). I can't wait to get the DVD!

I must say that the so cal groups pretty much OWNED the Nor Cal groups. Good job to all.

hahah yeah it is... but hey, the stands are only for summer... we never get to use them during any season (marching indoor). Even drum corps use stands during the lot warm-ups :wink:

Yeah they did. Congrats to all finalists. The NorCal lines should get recognized for keeping us on the map in WGI though.And I think the amount of SoCal lines speaks for itself. :D

it wasnt a contest between california, it was a world competition. im proud of ALL the cali groups.

my freshman year... all of our upper class men were all the football player build... with mad chops... they made us stand in one place for about two hours with the largest bass drums... (36, 38 inches etc.) my god... now that hurts... but you know... they did it because we feel nothing when we put a drum on now. It honestly helps

Hey, who said were using stands. I didnt, im sure the director didnt, so i guess that means.............NO STANDS AT ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Is that a concert bass? I don't think any company makes a marching bass drum that big.....

I would have to agree...I have never heard of a marching bass drum bigger than 36" and even now, people only use 32" as most.

they dont make them that big, he just doesnt know what hes talking about, unless he made his own drum that is that big, it would look funny seeing someone carry a drum that big.
