Great Competition. Elmo got 2nd with a score of 82.9. There were a lot of great drumlines there.

WHOOO! ElMo! I really love their show and they're crazy awesome people too.

UNLV=crazy cool people and a crazy awesome show. Shostakovich is probably one of my favorite composers, and they did a great job with the show. It was probably one of, if not the most musical show I saw all day.

LOL... my junior college band folks call me Sho(s)takovich, just for being really obsessed with his compositions, especially his Symphony No. 5, with the fourth movement featuring lots of timpani solo (LordoftheTimpani am I!!!) Plus I love the Russian (and sadly the Soviet) Heritage.

Hehe, Shostakovich is my hero! And Mussorgsky. Rimsky-Korsakov is cool too.

I liked UNLV's line too.

it was a pretty awesome show, they had some great kettle corn...lol i went to go see some soloists, but only saw the first marimba player, who played pretty well. Sucked that my drumline lost to townsend, and i messed up our salute..... but I wished Townsend the best at champs because they are nice and they can do better than san marcos IMO

The kettlecorn was fun... I kind of shoved most of the bag in someone else's face.
