Who will win NCBA Scholastic Class this winter?

Post by wholelottasaywhat? » Sun Mar 21, 2004 2:15 am

Which school will take home the NCBA Scholastic Class championship. I don't know everyone in the class, but I'll do my best!

3/25/04...added Leland, North Valley, Deer Valley, and Atwater to the poll. Removed Benicia & Granite Bay. Can anyone confirm that these schools are not going to champs. I've also heard Vanden...is that true?

Scholastic contenders

I hear that Granite Bay will not be competing in Championships this year, as well as Benicia. For a lot of groups, the Foothill winter show is the end of the line as far as NCBA competition.

I just heard Vanden isn't going to finals either...also heard the same things you guys have been saying about Benicia and Granite Bay so I guess that is true.

I think this is really unfortunate because these are some very fine shows and some very fine performers. Kind of a shame. Wonder why they aren't going?

maybe its the drive....oroville is pretty far up here. some directors might have complained about the distance. Try driving from oroville to hollister...now THATS a drive

There is no WGI event on the day of NCBA champs. Just FYI.

Vanden isn't going to champs because their wind ensemble will be in Chicago that whole week. Oh well I guess. :(
I'm still Red, but blue thoughts are clouding my mind. Those who know drum corps know what I'm talking about.

I may be biased after having watched some competitive scholastic lines with poor attitudes (SECONDS BEFORE they performed, no less!) at the Vallejo show, but that isn't important. I saw Reed at an earlier competition and thought they were alright, but I watched them again at champs and they were SMOKING. An absolutely awesome show that definitely would have been competitive in open class.
