Here at El Capitan H.S. in Lakeside CA, we were going to do an arrangement of "Late in the Evening" By Paul Simon, but do to some very bad communication between the director, instructors, and parents, we decided not to compete this year. I thought the kids were going to just lose interest in just doing some random performances ( spring concert, jr. high & middle schools to recruit, and maybe some parks and shopping centers), but we didn't lose a single person. They all felt like as long as they get to perform , it was worth the practice time and extra effort. They were looking forward to seeing the differnt shows from everyone so we will be hitting the comps to show our support as percussionists. Hope to see you there. Best of luck to all of you!
