eNVision Performing Arts and GPG Publications are proud to present an exciting Yamaha Sounds of Summer Percussion & Guard Camp July 11-13, 2013 in Reno, NV.

Featuring nationally known artists working with local educators, Sounds of Summer provides intensive, hands-on instruction to young percussion and guard members from grades 7 through college age and covers fundamentals, basic and advanced techniques, sectional playing/spinning, ensemble performance and leadership skills. Since the camp’s inception in 1985, more than 50,000 students have honed their skills at Sounds of Summer programs across the country.

The 2013 Sounds of Summer Camp will take place at the University of Nevada, Reno. There will be two full days of rehearsal and instruction followed by a performance at eNVision’s Artown Event held at the Universities Peccole Park.

Percussion players at this year’s Sounds of Summer session will study under the tutelage of Dave & Kathy Marvin from Denver, CO while Color Guard members will study under the tutelage of Michele Whalley from San Diego, CA. Other clinicians include Yamaha Artist Aaron Hines and Color Guard Artist Kimberly Hines.
