I'm very proud/happy that California HS has been bumped from intermediate to advanced.

I also think the level of competition and performance quality in both scholastic and open is better this year than it has been in a while, or ever.

kind of sad that Irvington's season has to be cut short due to the school musical..

i'm definitely proud of all their achievements and all the progress they have made throughout this season, especially since it's their first year doing marching winter percussion.

I wish that there was more time. I really want to see other groups as well.

Agreed about California HS, not only were they bumped, but they seem to be doing just fine in Advanced...
Franklin is also apparently having a great year in the Advanced Division.

From the shows that i've watched in advanced at least. the top 2 i've seen would be American Canyon and Franklin.

I agree with thoughts on Franklin and American Canyon. They both have great shows. What about Golden Valley? I thought their show was creative and they had some neat tricks - such as when they held the bass drum players upside down while they played. Also, Granite Bay has a very good show. I really enjoy their music...Vintage High, as well. Do you think one of those schools could win at the championships? This is so exciting!

Just got a look at an updated schedule for Granada...
Looks like Franklin has taken the leap into the Scholastic Division.

That changes things up significantly for the advanced division.

Also noticed that Monte Vista is still listed as novice instead of intermediate unlike what was previously posted here by another user.

thanks for the love! haha. We had a rough run that day but the kids are doing their best performing a show done by the blue knights....also considering our group is full of rookies, we're movin along pretty good. That was our only performance in NCBA however. My brother and I have both been out of NCBA for awhile, so seeing the talent of the ADVANCED groups was amazing! Things have changed so much....and in a good way!.....now if only the judging and venues could change...haha. Good luck to everyone at NCBA champs!
