floor cover

Help! I am in need of a floor cover for my orchestra. We have a brand new gym at our school and they are afraid we will ruin the RUBBER floor with our chairs and the audience chairs. We have been waiting for years to get this building so we can fit our entire group plus audience and now they are worried.
I'm looking for anything right now for free or VERY cheap. Color not important at this time.
They have decided to have my 8th Grade Orchestra concert be the official Grand Opening of the gym. I'm hoping they see what precautions I've taken and then realize they need to foot the bill to have a floor cover specifically for the gym.
