why does this sound and LOOK wrong? you are dealing with kids and minors

Brandon Kovacic Cymbal Tech / Hotness Advisor

the whole entire thing sounds fishy and shady, sorry moderators, but i have researched this group and KNOW what I'm talking about. I visited at a rehearsal.

Funny, I don't see that line anywhere in the post you are replying to or on their website.

I do remember this though:
confucious wrote:IMHO the ONLY people that should be posting any kind of news on behalf of any organization, should be those with authority to do so. Even if I was best friends with a director, a staff member, in any organization, and was given information, it is not my place to divulge it on any public forum, as I am not that person in authority.

Again, like Dave says, let's wait for the official announcements being done by all these groups, and even then, it's up to them to make an announcement or not.

We should all take a step back and look how much damage we can cause to the already hurting activity, by bashing groups around.
You are literally a troll who only posts when you have a group/person to bash.

Hey guys,

I am the cymbal tech at OCI and one of the webmasters for the OCI site.

let me just clarify something... under staff it lists my position as "cymbal tech / hotness advisor". most of the cymbal line is made up of UCLA and other college kids. the "hotness" factor is a running joke we cymbal players have. its not a "hide yo kids, hide yo wives" type thing. there isnt a van somewhere with free candy...

my section leaders at UCLA even went as far as to make some trophys for themselves.

OCI is going strong. we got 5 basses, 5 tenors, 8-9 snares, and 9 cymbals. my cymbal kids are having a blast. Confucius, im sorry you didnt enjoy yourself at OCI. maybe you can email me and let me know why it wasnt fun and how we can fix it. brandonkovacic@gmail.com

No disrespect, but... isn't there already an OCI percussion group based out of Oregon?

you are referring to OC Indoor or Oregon Crusaders Indoor. OCI is Orange County Independent.

"We strive to employ a staff that consists of experts in their perspective areas of focus and conducts themselves in a professional light at all times."

It doesn't matter whether it's a running joke or not, but "hotness advisor" is not in anyway conducting yourself in a professional light. Way to contradict your "about us".

What do you think "hotness advisor" is?

I have been just reading this and never thought about getting an account, but how dare you say this joke is being taken to seriously as you quote.

I have a daughter that was in a band program which i am not going to name, that just recently within this year, had the band director fired because of stuff like this. HOTNESS adviser? Are you serious?

Are you that conceded to call your self that? Joke or no joke, I will never aloud my kid to be part of your program. I have seen groups that you have taught and some of those "visuals" that you would call, are nothing but not appropriate for high school students. Even the groups that are not with a high school but are under the age, give me a break!!!!

I find this to be very offensive and to hear from other students talk so negative about your program that has not even started there first season confuses me. To also hear that a lot of under age kids are in your program and how you staff members that works at all age drum corp is not right. Sounds like a breading ground to something terribly wrong.

I hope your team of educators really takes a look at what you are doing because as a mother, you guys are in the wrong
