wanna be in spring drumline

i want to be in the spring drumline at my high school. But, i don't know how to read music or play any percussion instrument. i really want to do marching cymbals. any suggestions?

If you have a cymbal line or cymbal tech, talk to them. They could get you up to speed on the technique of the line. If you don't have either, talk to your band director.
