Just a suggestion for the " ...17 novice drumline- too many in this division..." problem, look across the gym at winterguard Novice A, Novice B answer. ADD divisions.

If "we" want to continue to make "championships" more of an END-OF-THE-YEAR-CELEBRATION where everyone gets to compete, then I definitely agree with your idea of dividing the novice division.

Yet, I am in the minority that wants championships to be something a groups has "earned" the privilege to be a part of.

Just as we all have been reminded far to often: these competitions are not just to crown winners but to educate and give everyone an opportunity to perform. I, in no way see, any watering down of the achievement by adding divisions like Nov. 1, Nov.2, to any catagory withover 12 competitors.

Having 2 Novice divisions at champs seemed to work last year. There were a lot of good Novice shows that didn't place this year due to class size. Awards aren't the end all be all as we know. Just a bit of motivation for the competetive at heart

The level of performance has improved so much in the past couple of years. This is a huge positive for sure. Thanks again to all of the JH/MS and High School Novice and Standing groups for yesterday's performances. A pleasure to watch and adjudicate.

I proposed adding a 5th division to winter drum line several years ago.
It was opposed and shot down by......wait for it....the percussion instructors and judges....

Yay, we did it, go AHS! Good job to all other groups, you all did well. A piece of plastic doesn't determine the fun and feeling of a great performance, just remember that.

Please tell me they have been posted on the ncbaonline.com site.
What's even more annoying is that this is a dead site with no direct email access to anyone listed, board members, caption chair people do "we" still have those?: current information, schedule changes, application availablity (copies), or anywhere to post problems, concerns, or even positive comments on any events in this association.

Why is it so hard to get information about this association?

I STRONGLY AGREE THAT THE FOOD WAS WONDERFUL...and.... I wish the food would have been available a little longer at AVHS. The directors' lounge was closed at 4pm. And one more thing...It would have been nice to have had the shirts or other souvenirs available at AVHS site, too. I was not looking for such sounvenir items. Yet, someone told me that he was told, "You want those shirts? You need to go to Foothill HS." No slam on Foothill. I do not think Foothill was responsible for that. Having champs on two different high school campuses needs to have some empathy to having what is offered one campus to be offered on the other campus. Not everyone was going to be on both campuses.

THANK YOU FOOTHILL FOR HOSTING CHAMPS. If I am still doing this "thing," I will go again when you host it again.

Having one booster group do two contest sites is a nightmare for the biggest and best groups (of which Foothill Parents are one) Where was the Director and parents of AVHS? Weren't they invited to join the party?

I think AVHS would NOT be invited. WHY? Because AVHS is not a member of NCBA Winterguard or Winterpercussion activities.

Having one booster group do two contest sites is a nightmare...AGREE...and honestly, Foothill (right now) is the "only" (it's in quotes...calm down folks) NCBA Winterguard/percussion participant that could have pulled it off as well as they did.
