A tempo block? My line definitely needs one of those instead of using my temple block.Bacon wrote: I prefer using a tempo block.

I prefer king claves over a tempo block (and Bacon, I think tempo block is an acceptable name for it). Those bad boys pierce through most sounds, or noise, in a drumline with minimal effort.

Re: Metronome for Drum line?
Temple block works great! But I want a metronome that sounds like the temple block, and carries the same way. It's a little less merciful if it's a machine. I know I always have mercy on them and I can't help it... I'm just too nice...
Also, going outside would be a great idea, IF WE COMPETED OUTSIDE!!!!
Tell me how to make my met sound like a temple block...

Re: Metronome for Drum line?
I bet you guys don't compete in your band room either now do ya? Taking it outside once in a while will let you and the line hear a bit clearer what's going on. Now as for getting that sound, for my met I just set it to 1 beat per measure so that it gives the nice clear sound every beeb. And you don't even need a loud speaker to hear it. It depends on your met though, just play around with it.
