Hey, just thought I'd let everyone know that we are doing winter drumline at sac state this year. If you want more info, you can email me at cowsrock@internet49.com or myspace.com/drillogicaldrummer
Or just go to the college and find out for yourself. ~Bre

that would be kinda cool if they were gonna be a new PIW group. Some planning in the future maybe?

at this time Sacramento State has no intention of putting together a PIW program. We do not have the funds, facilities, member base and sizeable enough staff to warrant a competitive PIW line. It is unfortunate that Freelancers will not have a line this season and all of their members or perspective members are more than welcome to come check out the Sacramento State Winter Ensemble (sacramento-state-winter-ensemble@googlegroups.com) and see if it is something they would be interested in being a part of. It is a financially smart decision on their part with new bingo laws coming into effect, the state of our economy and uncertainty of what the future may hold for financial issues concerning marching/music programs. If Freelancers were not able to swing it this season and they have their own bingo hall... there would be no hope at all for Sacramento State with a budget that is getting smaller every year. No way could we compete with that, their world class staff already in place and their pool of members from various drum corps.
