NCBA Fall 2008 Predictions?
Anyone have any predictions for the top/up and coming drumlines to watch this fall in the NCBA? Anyone wanna chime in on how their line(s) is/are doing so far this summer?

well at my former band that im working with...the Riordan Drumline...
we're slowly catching on to "real" percussion...we used to just march the cadence through that...
last year we did something new...but getting there
this year we have a 24 piece drumline. and they worked all june...it sounds promising...just keep steppin up those steps

I just said symmetrical, maybe were going 2 snares 2 basses 2 cym and 6 quads.
All joking aside grats on the numbers, it really helps to make the drum line an attractive and worthwhile activity to the members.

I'm not sure about the street but I look forward to seeing Granite Bay. Also, Folsom will have 6 tenors this year.

Re: NCBA Fall 2008 Predictions?
I'm not so sure.. More than half of the LpO drummers were seniors last year, and now the dominant class this year in drumline are the freshmen. There are times like this, but I was like so happy last season that we beat Fairfield at Santa Cruz for the first time as well as Jesse Bethel at Lodi [that I know of].. and now we're starting fresh all over again... But we're getting there, we have a pretty strong freshmen class this year.. hehe
Well then I guess I'm looking forward to Vallejo, Fairfield, Benicia, and Atwater, and may be Jesse Bethel..

I think that vallejo will be very successful this year. They're been pretty solid for the past 3 years so i think they're in the running for top honors. Behind them I think it will be a toss up with rodriguez, fairfield, and maybe atwater and bethel. Its always rough when a program gets a complete new staff so will see what happens.

Wilcox has its biggest line in several years. We're marching 1 quad 1 snare and 3 bases. rofl. Isn't being small great?
For winter season though, where we generally do pretty well, we'll see what happens because we just lost our long-time perc. instructor Josh Peterson.

I think Golden Valley did quite decently at their first performance.
I like their show better this year than I did last year.
