.....cryin' like a baby

Post by guarddude » Wed May 19, 2004 11:08 am

It's hard to believe WGASC and WGI are a distant memory.

At WGASC championships, I completely broke down when we had our final circle before we performed. I didn't break down last year, but this year it hit me really hard. I guess it did because my kids I instruct worked really hard and our outcome at WGASC finals was fantastic. Plus we have 2 seniors.

My guard looked really surprised and broke down with me and we did the final group hug thing and got weepy togehter. The guard after us was waiting behind us and they started crying too! Both guards laughed after we had our boohoo festival.

So....'fess up. Who broke down and why did you break down?

It was all overwhelming... knowing that that will be the last time you'll be able to perform that show with the same bunch of people. I mean, spending all those months together, getting close, and now it's all over.

You just can't help but cry. I told myself not to, but I just couldn't control myself. When our instructor had a talk with us after the show, I just had to look down. I couldn't look at everyone else. It was just a really sad moment for me.

Now that I think about it, I miss them more... all of them.

"We had a lot of fun times together, and those will be the times that I remember when I look back at the season"

A good friend wrote that in a letter to me... it's so true. ::SIGH::
One mo again.

i almost broke down at wgasc champs during awards since it was the first time i ever medaled. after marching 4 years of high school guard and never coming close to winning, i was really excited to be on an independent guard and actually medal!

plus i was so sad since i knew i wouldn't be seeing my friends too often anymore. no more weekend rehersals. 10-6 every saturday and sunday for like 5 months. aww i miss everyone so much!
friends... ya know!
