We have rules on our guard. Some are normal, some are wierd, what about yours?

I know staying set until told to relax is a given but... I fidget!!! I have like mild ADD or something and I get really sore and bored and yeah just standing there forever. It's one of the things that bugs me... I wanna fidget!!!

We also have a dress code for rehearsals. Black and white only.

I hear ya on the dress code. We have to wear all black. It sucks when laundry time comes around. I guess you just get used to it. I have. It makes you look like a team and it's less distracting for the instructor to have one color to look at instead of 10 different colors.

No major rules for our guard. Nothing out of the norm.

We have lots of rules too. I'm ok with most of them, We have a dress code...black only. No moving until they say relax. Hair is always back. No gum. Nothing in the mouth at all. No talking on the floor.

Oh what about breaks. Do you guys get them? In the summer we do, but winter is different. Like one dinner break (45 minutes) in an 8 hour rehearsal.
I'm ok with this cuase we're still learning our show, but my feet hurt sooo much :!:

My instructor made me put my gum on my nose once. I haven't had gum in block, since.

We're supposed to have our hair up, I'm hair tie girl. I usually have four hair ties on my wrist at a time. We don't really get that many breaks, we had a nine hour rehearsal with lots of breaks but during weekday practices we don't get them.

um, hair up, no gum, no food/drinks if we r in the band/dance room (we all have them anyways in the band room), no cussing, um, no jeans aloud at practice EVER, we can goof off sometimes but if its time to work, its time to work and we all know that. we can wear whatever the hell we want (thank God), and for every minute we r late its 10 pushups and if u cant do pushups (i cant. i sprained a ligiment in my wrist, and neither can bree...) u have to do 20 sit ups every minute you're late. im never late. if i was i prolly wouldnt have the gut i have LoL  and yeah i think thats about it. :D

it sounds like your guards are really strict. Mine is so laidback, which makes it fun. We do work hard, but we dont really have so many nittygritty rules. we have "rules" like where we can eat, and being early, but nobody actually follows them. they are posted in the band room, and it is a constant joke how funny they are. There are also signs posted saying not to eat in the bandroom, but even the director and my instructors eat in there. We have pizza parties there!!

i mean if you lose it as in...you dont know where you put it and you can't find it anymore...and it's been like a few days and you seriously have no clue where it is then it's $.50 out of your pocket!!

ONLY 50 cents if you lost a flag? That's CRAZY. That might buy you two tips ...

$5

well it used to be $5 but SO many parents and people complained that my instructor had to bring it WAYYYYYYYYYYY down. she's gonna raise it again my senior year (next year) because people are taking advantage of paying so little. some people are just stealing them because we only pay 50 cents! crazy...

heck if i could get away with just paying .50 then there certainly isnt much motivation to not take them. $5 is reasonable.

We have to wear black and white hair back no gum all those normal rules, and also supposedly we're not allowed to eat junk food during winterguard.... ha... ha... yeah our rules are similar to riflelova's.
