Becky :D
Do you have absolutely insane drama issues? Cause I think that would make drama for us, although I'd still like to have boys on our guard. The whole I like boys thing.

In high school our guard had 3 guys my sophomore year, 5 my junior year and then my senior year I was the only one. This past summer I was the only guy in our guard :D

Hey Becky,

I noticed that you were over here talking about our guys. They are quite a bunch aren't they? Just wanted to say hi and I hope you had a nice time during the holidays. Much love.

We have one

Post by soccermermaid » Fri Dec 26, 2003 8:35 pm

At Cal High we've had one guy (the same) since the guard started two seasons ago. It's kinda sad cause I'm a senior and we're the only two origional's left. He's gotten away with murder since he doesn't get to wear make-up and the uniforms are even modified for him. He tried getting our instructer to change what our uniforms look like cause they're purple! But, since I'm captain, and he is like my little bro. I swear he will wear make-up, at least part of the eye stuff, even if i have to use electric tape and tape him to a chair to do it.

i bet i could get makeup on our guys. one does drama so it really isnt a big deal anyways, and the other guy would prolly try it just to try it.

We put make up on the guys in band, Mwahaha. I bet if we had any guys on guard we would put make up on them too. I think it's a little too much that one person gets the uniforms changed, that would never happen at our school.

I think guys can add a lot to a colorguard. For instance, Raiders World... you can do guy/girls partner work and it looks really good (especially when the guys look good too!) But I think you ahve to have ENOUGH guys to make it look nice.. Fairfield Open always only has 1 or 2 guys, last year two, this year two again, and I feel it looks bad. Theres has to be a good mix, of course there will probably always be more girls but the right amount of guys can balance a guard well. The only guard that defies my rule is Blue Devils Open... they have like 2 or 3 guys, who are really good and it looks fine. I just prefer guard like Logan who have a strong mix of guys, all strong on rifle.
