Help with swing flag choreography

Post by twirlerbby94 » Sun Jul 10, 2011 11:25 pm

Hi, I'm new here :) I joined today in hopes of getting some assistance with choreographing a routine for my school's field show. I am a co-captain of our color guard and I have been assigned to choreograph a routine to our band's arrangement of "A Fifth of Beethoven" using a hand flag/swing flag. I'm facing a little bit of writers' block because I don't have much experience with just one swing flag (I'm used to having 2 and opening them for the "butterfly" effect), and I feel like the routine is getting repetitive :( Does anyone have any tips?? Oh, and the flag work can't be too flashy or distracting because there is a small group of feature twirlers during that song as well and they are kind of the focal point. Thanks in advance

Swing flag is a dancing flag, and you dance under it. Look up choreo on youtube to get some ideas. =]
