Facebook Reminder

Post by guardmom » Mon Apr 18, 2011 11:40 am

Can we please remind our guards and their parents that posting comments about judges being jerks or stupid on facebook is poor sportsmanship. It is so dissappointing to read these comments from the girls and their parents in my guard after championships.

I could not agree more!

Let's keep in mind that all these performers put in alot of time and effort to do their best and the judges work hard to make sure they are giving fair and accurate scores and placements.

Not only is it pointless as the griping and complaining is not going to change the outcome but it's also tacky and casts your team in a negative light.

the truly disappointing part is that adults should know better

I agree it is poor sportsmanship but I've done it as well as many of my past students' and parents'. It is just a way of "venting." Though in a perfect world it would not exist but I think we call can agree this is not a perfect world we live in! :)

My cat has developed an interesting ear for listening to my vents. Sometimes, she even grooms herself.
