Ballare Guard Shoes?

Has anyone used the Styleplus Ballare Guard Shoes? If so, I have a couple of questions:

1) How are they on a hot street? Does the heat easily come through the shoe when standing or are the soles thick enough to insulate?

2) How is the fit in regards to the heel of the foot? My co-instructor is concerned that the heel will slip out of the shoe while marching/dancing.

If anyone has any info, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks much.

Any other suggestions for shoes would be welcome.

I don't really know anything about the Ballare shoes. I have for the past few years gone with a dance sneaker (now if your school wears dresses this won't help. But I like them because- 1) they're durable 2)they're comfortable 3) the split sole makes for better point and 4) after the seasons over they can still use them for dance classes and winter guard rehearsals. Here's a link-

hope that can be of some help to you :D good luck!

We use this shoe on the street. We do not have a huge issue with heat through the soles. If there was a problem I am sure the girls would have complained to me by now. As for the slippage, we have not had an issue with this, but I do have girls wear band-aids every parade. I hope some of this will help.

I've had guards wear Ballares. Occasionally we'd have issues with bad buckles, but they were durable and supportive on the feet. Definitely appropriate for parade uniforms.

Thank you all for the information. We ordered a pair (and a couple others) to test them out. I appreciate all the responses :)
