NCBA Champs?

Post by JenKozy » Tue Feb 23, 2010 12:16 pm

Wondering something about the show sites.

1) Anyone know how they are working splitting the show up across the two different schools? Are percussion groups going to be at one site and guards at another? MS and Novice lines at one school, upper divisions at the other? (I remember at the June meeting it was discussed that Champs would be split up between Foothill and Amador Valley. And as Rowland told us at Rodriguez, over 120+ units at Champs, I KNOW Foothill's parking lots cannot handle that load.)

2) Is the new gym at Foothill complete?

Hoping that someone has insight on this.

They are dividing it by divisions from Foothill gym to the Amador gym. Something along the lines of middle school, standind and novice percussion/guards will be at amador, and the rest at foothill. It isn't exactly sure if all novice will be there or not, since i didnt see the schedule.
I'm pretty sure my novice A guard is at Foothill and our standing percussion is at Amador.

OOooh. That would be IDEAL if the Novice A guards are at Foothill along with the higher classes in guard and percussion. We wouldn't have to figure out transportation between the two!

Thanks for the info!

So I was reading the schedule, and it looks like the groups are split, but I couldnt tell, there is going to be two different awards ceremonies one, at Amador and one later at Foothill?!

Has anyone gotten their schedule yet? I was told that all MS, HS Novice, and HS Intermediate guards were at Amador.

MS, HS Novice B and HS Intermediate all look to be at Amador Valley. I have a Novice A group and they are at Foothill.

Does anyone know if there is a new gym at Foothill?

just curious, does anyone know how line-ups are decided?

there are numerous groups that I see consistently at the beginning or end of their class...its obviously not alphabetical, it doesn't appear to be based on how well a group does in past competitions . Is it by school size like in marching?

I believe it's by application postmark, but it might be by application payment postmark. The earlier you send in your application/payment, the later you go in your division. This is just a guideline though...if a conflict occurs, they can insert a group with an earlier postmark behind someone with a later postmark when needed.

Thank you. We have had some very different opinions on our show this year. I was just wondering which ones to expect. Although there are a couple of names on that list that we have not had judge us yet this year.
