Want to spin in the Bay Area this summer??

Post by guardthepiccolo » Thu Jun 04, 2009 10:59 pm

"...of essence" winterguard is hosting a Summer Program at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale, CA!

The "...of essence" Summer Program will run Monday and Wednesday nights from 6-9pm starting Monday, June 15th. We will go over technique in movement and equipment, and will put together various dance and colorguard pieces that will be performed at our end-of-summer concert on Saturday, August 8th, at 7pm.

This is going to be a TON of fun and is for people of all ages who want to spin, dance, and have a good time this summer! This is also going to be a great way to get prepared for the 2010 winter season!

Come MONDAY, June 15th, to the Fremont High School Band Room at 6pm for all of the details.

Also, if you are an Instructor and would like to have your colorguard perform at the end-of-summer concert, or would like to help out in some way with the program, please contact me for more info.

Any other questions?
Contact me via pm or email:guardthepiccolo@gmail.com

Thanks, and hope to see you this summer!

It's for everybody who wants to join=] It'd be great to have you! And bring kids if you want!
Ideally we'll have a class Monday nights for Beginning/Intermediate, and an Advanced class Wednesday nights, but that will depend on the amount of people we get and the amount of people interested in helping as well.

Is there a cost for it? I can announce it to my guard, we just had our 2nd set of tryouts and looks like we'll be at 10-12 guard members this year.

The 2009 "...of essence" Summer Program kicks off TOMORROW NIGHT at Fremont HS from 6-9 p.m! It's looking right we're going to have a good turnout, I'm pretty excited!

Fremont HS is located at:

1279 Sunnyvale Saratoga Rd
Sunnyvale, CA 94087

We're meeting in the band room, on the far right back corner of campus, next to the football field.

PM me for more info if you're interested.

The cost is $50 for the summer, which meets MW nights, or $10 a class. Tomorrow night is free to give you the opportunity to decide if this is something you want to do.

Hope to see you there!

The first night was a great success, bringing in people from the South Bay all the way up to San Francisco!
Tonight will be our first Intermediate/Advanced night, which will be more geared toward choreography that we'll put together for our end-of-summer concert.

Hope to see you there!
