How about earlier?
Jim Zuniga, Drum Major of Watsonville H.S.
(Now director at San Benito)
Chad Humpal, Drum Major for the Merced H.S. Marching 100

1)Kevin Kato - also excellent execution with more difficulty
1993- Todd Hinsbergen

Sadly I dont know these people. Tell us what made them special.

This was a very long time ago. But Chad Humpal is my band director now and he was considered legendary because He was drum major sophomore, junior and senior year for the merced marching 100 and I personally think that it is a very good accomplishment because Merced was won of the best back then.i was told by some people he was the first person to ever successfully attempt to beat time in 3/4 and one time during band class he said he scored a 100.0 but this was all long ago in the early 1990's. I consider him a role model now and I hope I can accomplish something like that. I was drum major for the Mitchell Senior band I have only marched two parades with the band because I was the only tuba and so I had the title of drum major but someone else marched the only band review we went to which was santa cruz but I competed in "L" pattern and was undefeated for middle school until my very last competition I was very disappointed because the only reason I did not win was because of my presentation. I wore the white pants and they are very old. I hope I can represent Buhach Colony high school the best just like Humpal did for the Merced marching 100

Also these people may not be legendary but they sure were good for middle school Markus Smith from Weaver middle school and Jericho Tejeda from mitchell senior. Markus was undefeated for the fall season in 2015 for NCBA and I think Jericho was undefeated for the 2017 winter season for ncba middle schools

video tape of Markus who is now a sophomore at golden valley
