Senority....................

In a way senority is a very good thing. It allows upperclassman to run thir section and share what they have learned. However sometimes what they have learned is not the best thing to keep. With that said senority can be given to people that can handle it. Of course with power comes greed, but people must realize that they ARE human and eventually will be wrong sometimes. They should have an open mind but also not let people tell them what to do. I would say (from experience) to listen to both sides of the arguement look at it in all different directions and then finally come to a decision that is the best. Thats called being a real leader! In conclusion I believe that senority is a good thing to those people who can handle it and who truly care about the program, and it is NOT for people who just want power.

I don't think there should be a rule when it comes to seniority.

Seniority is just a factor in the politics of band leadership... but it should not decide anything on its own. It's something that should be considered. What are the consequences of giving something to someone based on their seniority? What are consequences of denying someone something despite their seniority? It all depends on the person and the individual situation.
