i want to get a baritone, but i am curious to know what brands are better than others. i was wondering if anyone had comments on brands that they sugtgest or prefer. any help would be appriciated

Well let's see genius. The person puts up a post asking what brands of baritones are better than others. That's clue #1 that the person doesn't know which one to buy. Actually, that's the only clue. If you need more clues, you need more help then people give you credit for.

The big question is, how much do you want to spend. For instance, one of the better intermediate horns is the Yamaha 321, but expect to spend about $2500 for one. There are also the Besson line, top models there will run in $5000 range. Give us you shopping list, and we can give you some info.

i heard yamaha's aren't that great for brass instruments... it that true?
