Drum Covers Wanted

Post by pghs_instructor » Wed Dec 09, 2009 11:17 pm

Anyone have any black marching drum covers for sale? We are seeking 5 bass drum covers (16, 18,20 24 and 28"), 3 snares (14"), and 2 tenor covers. Anyone selling?

I'd guess most of our excess covers wouldn't be worth buying!

If you need something as cheap as possible, you can pick up some vinyl from a fabric store. Cut it to size, attach velcro, and cut out notches for the carrier eyebolts.

If you don't have someone who can sew the velcro on, there are some reasonably inexpensive covers out there. McCormick's has some black covers that would run you $92.20 for the set, although you might have to alter an 18" cover for your 16" drum. HERE is a link. I almost bought a set of those myself, but for just a few bucks more, I picked up a set of Dynasty covers from Paul Collins, aka The Brass Shop.

{EDIT} The price I mentioned for "the set" above is for the set of basses. I forgot to add in the prices for snare & tenor covers.

Thanks very much for the tip, that's much more reasonable for the budget. Thank again!
