A dedicated group of musicians and fans are pulling together ideas, resources, and energies to start a senior corp here in the Inland Empire. With the Inland Empire having one of the highest increases of population in the country there is no reason why we couldnt have a senior corp of our own.
With so many great high school programs, the highly succesful Yamato junior drum and bugle and the world renowned RCC Marching Tigers, a senior corp would fill a need for a great many people who still have the drumcorp bug/disease.
The focus of this corp will be more on performance and having a good time. We will be doing only local shows and support different events in the Inland Empire. We have no desire at this time to travel to DCA Championships and do not intend to for at guite a few years. Because of this we intend to have a more relaxed rehearsal schedule to enable more people to march. For example...we are proposing to rehearse only one sunday a month from say like 1 pm to 5 pm. This would alow time for everyone to do what the desire in the morning( sleeping in, religious services or just spending time with their families.) The only time we would need to increase our rehearsals is the month or so before our first show which is in June.
We will be doing a strictly stand still performance this year with a full marching show next year. When I say marching I am not talking about some high speed , jazz running show at 200 beats per min. We will marching early eighties style drill so that we can play some of those drum corp classics of old.
If you are interested in helping getting this group off the ground, are just interested in marching or have any questions feel free to email me at flancer84 @aol.com

Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon,
Marc
Director of soon to be named corp.
