theres so many I can't decide! Hmm.. lets see.

10. Voice Of the Guns.
9. Colchester Castle.
8. Colonel Bogey.
7. Carry On.
6. Sons of the Brave
5. Glorious Victory.
4. Bond of Friendship.
3. General Mitchell.
2. Old Comrades.
1. Arnhem.

When AE Kelly wrote Arnhem to honor those who fought in the Battle of Arnhem he really put his blood and sweat into it. I can't describe it but I can really feel the emotion in the march "Arnhem"; its almost like I was on the battlefield with all those soldiers when I listen to it. I can feel all the pain and the struggle they endured but at the same time the honor they felt still having fought a losing battle. It's almost like the march speaks its raw emotion to me. I don't know it just sends chills up my spine... Call me weird!

Not at all....Albert Edward Kelly was in the Royal Parachute Regiment and was AT Arnhem, where he was severely wounded. (for those of you not WWII savvy, reference "Operation Market Garden" or the movie, "A Bridge Too Far")

Yes I know this bit; that he was at Arnhem.. What do you disagree with? Why do you say "Not at all"?

When JCYS stated, "Not at all", I think he was replying to your final statement in your previous post......."Call me weird."

In other words....he's saying that you are "Not at all" weird.

my favorite marches in order would have to be
1. The Beau Ideal by Sousa
2. In Storm and Sunshine by Heed
3. Eagle Squadron by Alford
4. March of the Women Marines by Saverino
5. The Federal by Sousa

I'm also a fan of "BB and Cf' by Hume, "Loyal Legion" by Sousa, "Boys of the Old Brigade" and "Revelation" by Chambers, much of K Alford's work "Standard of St. George", "Army of the Nile", "Voice of the Guns", "Colonel Bogey", "Mad Major" some of Hausey's marches (more recent works) and "Grandioso".

War March of the Tartars

I got to play it my Sophomore year at Rowland HS, and Stauffer MS was the last one I heard playing it on the street.

I believe it's a carnival march meant to be played faster, but I like how "dark" and "sinister" it can sounds when played slower
