Kennedy Show... Awesome

Post by SRDM » Sat Oct 02, 2004 11:23 pm

nicely put together, smooth (except for a little bit of tabulation errors after 4A) yet great. Ayala and Upland were my personal favorites... Ayala's original music score totally blew me away. I was crying tears of joy after the opener!

All I have to say is holy cow.....i wish i could have been there....but being states away i couldnt make it. I couldnt believe that Upland took sweeps (thats what i heard from my mom....i figured they got dq again....just kidding) but i cant wait to see ayala's show in november at championships. I figured the results would be like this: Ayala, Chino, Upland, and the other band (sorry dont remember who the last band was). Well, i cant wait to see the out come of the rest of the season!!!! Go Upland, im so proud of you guys!!!!
April 26th is so close!!!!! But it needs to come faster!!!!!!! *last day of school*

The other school was Woodbridge. Our band didn't do too hot, but Guard got 2nd... A tenth of a point away from Upland... ...But 6 points away from Chino with auxiliary sweeps.

Good Start to Season

Post by jacjar1 » Sun Oct 03, 2004 4:39 pm

I think Upland and Ayala really got the crowd into the contest. I didnt see Upland or Chino but heard Upland looked good.

Good Job Upland next week will be real test as first WBA show of season at Costa Mesa......

I was suprised by the crazy uniforms of the other bands. I've never seen gansters and pirates together for a competition. Seems to be a lot of water and ocean themes this year... I had a blast!!!

I thought all groups did a good job. Not only were the percussion scores close, but all of them were. The top 3 bands were within about 1.5 points of each other. All of the bands did a good job, and it was cool to be at such a competitive show and have all of the scores so close.

Congrats to Ayala for high Music, Percussion, and Visual.

Congrats to Chino for high General Effect, and Color Guard.

Congrats to Upland for High General Effect, and for taking Sweeps.

Everyone did a great job, and as I said it is good to see such a competitive show. Good luck to everyone in the coming weeks and months.

aw wheres my school's congratulations? im just kiddin

i just realized we (mayfair) scored higher than everyone in 5a except for fountain valley. allow my head to inflate slightly. lol. but yea good job to everyone.

i still wish they would have scored our night performance just for kicks...the rest of the band felt more settled and confident...and actually topped the latter performance which had been our best one till the night show. but yea. last kennedy for me...::sigh::
