Yes, Garey did well and I was very proud of them (considering they only marched 35; other bands had marched more than double that amount)!
The Auxiliary score was the highest but yeah ,the overall scores were way too low. I was a bit surprised myself. The drum major nailed it with his score of 95.0!
ML King deserves my applause. Mr. Charles Gray's unit did an excellent job and they deserved that Sweepstakes and Music Award. Great Job!
All participating bands did an excellent job today. It's nice to see that three of the four marching bands in the Pomona Unified School District did well (Diamond Ranch, Ganesha and Garey) with their scores of 89.2, 89.6 and 90.9 respectively. It's going to be a very competitive season for these three units. I can't wait till Pomona X-mas parade and the Covina X-mas parade when all three will compete once again.
