An Olympic Homecoming Parade

Post by BlueStarMom » Mon Sep 27, 2004 12:17 am

A very special homecoming parade happens this Wednesday September 29, in downtown Riverside. John W North HS will host their homecoming parade sharing it with the entire city and its residents.

The parade is in honor of Olympic 100M hurdles champion Joanna Hayes, andChaunte Howard, competitor in the long jump (did not make finals :(.) Both are alumni of JWN. Sharing the parade to also honor Stephanie Nesbitt, syncronized swimmer (bronze I believe) from Riverside Poly HS. Poly HS marching band will particpate with the BSR.

These fine athletes will be honored by the city of Riverside, and will also have a few words to say. This should be an exciting day.
