Post by BlueMan2567 » Sat May 15, 2004 12:43 pm

what was your favorite field tournament last year and you can't wait to go to this year. I like the savanna FT because the people that work there were nice and it was so much fun and I cant wait to go this year.

my favorite would have to be the trabuco hill tournament only cuz it was at my school and its alot of fun because we get to walk around and go wherever we want and we get to put bracelets on peoples wrists and you meet some interesting people. it would ahve been even more fun if it wasnt raining.

hehe... back when I was marching (now I feel old), we called that tournamet the fog bowl. And for anyone that competed at the Savanna Tournament in 1995 should know what I'm talking about.

I could never seem to keep my shoes tied properly while competing during that show either... the 3 times I did... :?

Mine has to be Arcadia hands down. I mean come on every major school is there for both field and parade. you have a competeter anywhere you look. I think that they run a great show and the stadium is the best stadium i march in. the box is very high and that is great for the type of shows i march. so i have to say Arcadia ....

Although not a particular competition in itself...

When I was marching, I always preferred the long trips. The ones that had a real early call time, and a real late dismissal. So for me, the longest competiton (excluding finals) would have to be Trabuco Hills.

But as for annual ones in particular, I've taken a liking to the RCC show, mainly because its so close to me!

When I was in H.S. I always loved goin to the Fairfield H.S Tournament of Champs, last comp of the season, back then all the power bands of NCBA would be there... of course speaking of back then I mean 1996-1999, back in the Cambell era... In H.S I also liked goin to the Sierra Band Cursade comp in Reno cause it was an over nighter and we'd always go to Circus Circus... I also liked the Napa comp just cause of certain traditions....

As an instructor I love goin to Napa cause of the perc comp thing before parade awards, I also like the Lincoln H.S (Stockton) comp...

Thats all I can really remember
