Yep, we are doing gordon Goodwin. I'm excited to find out what all we're playing and hear how it comes together.Cadetsnare wrote:El Dorado is doing a Gordon Goodwin show.
Should be fun to write to...

Wow, thanks so much! I’ve heard some of the songs we might be playing and they sound good. I won't say the names, because well being a guardie, I’m not quite sure what they are.jordanfrausto wrote:keep us posted on the show development and what songs you will be using. I would choose something like count bubba, high maintanince, samba del gringo and maybe a ballad of some sort anyways I am sure you guys can pull it off ur jazz band is amazing so I think that will help translate onto the field props to you guys you are doing something right over there in yorba linda, hopefully I can see you guys in the fall best of luck from the tmr (tustin marching regiment)
Best of luck to you guys too!

Actually, the plans have changed...we're going with something a little odd...I don't remember the names, but we are for sure playing Samba Del Gringo, and the ballad is one of his slower songs in 3(should be fun to march to ). I'll find out the names of the rest, and fill you in soon!bariMADNESS wrote:They're gonna play songs only from the "Swinging from the Fences" CD, most likely Sing Sang Sung, Count Bubba, Samba Del Gringo, Mueva Los Huesos, and for a "Ballad" or slow song, they'll probably play I remember or Second Chances

Actually, it's in 6.....
The opener and the tag at the end will be "Hunting Wabbits"....should be one of the coolest things in SCSBOA. WAAAAYYYY outside the norm for SCSBOA, which I think is a good thing. They could use a little shaking up .
It'll play very well musically for the BOA show in Vegas.
Now it's time to break out that writing pencil and come up with something tay-stee for the percussion!
