Thanks for the information. I am glad that Poly and North both got to play. Thanks for the warm wishes for North. My daughter's friend from the BSR mentioned that they had fun. I wonder if anyone videotapes the various bands?

Well My high school, Chino went on January 8th. It was a lot of fun. I have done the Disneyland parade for the last two years and it has been a great experience every time. :D 8-)

my school goes to disneyland every year right before thanksgiving, its a pretty cool place to perform but not to march in because the street is too small not enough room but other then that its ok and yes the walk back to where our equipment was at was a long one

I've marched Main Street twice, once @ Cali Adventure and we did a concert freshmen year in Disney. :) I enjoyed those. I actually like the walk in the back.. long, but you get to see lots of props and backstage stuff.

I've gone for the past 3 years and this year will be my 4th. It's really fun. If you haven't got a chance to do it, send in an audition tape because it's really cool. You get to see stuff you'd never thought you'd see (backstage) and it's quite an experience.

Then when the dressing rooms get crowded everyone goes into those bathrooms and then that gets crowded. But even with all the people, we must admit that it is very fun.

Yeah, so if you ever do anything over in Japan that deals with home staying, ask them to see their California vacation videos, there's a good chance you're in it. 8-)

It's funny too. I was at a home stay in Osaka oh 5 years ago and the father of the house hold is also one of the admins for the Osaka Band Federation (1993 Rose Parade Participants), so when I pointed out that I lived in Riverside, he brought out the video from the Rose Parade and what I saw was RCC and JWN concerts with the Osaka group present. How funny is that?

I was also shown a year book from when Kashiwa High School (Chiba, JPN) was in the parade and not one, but 2 pictures of me were in there.
Gotta love being a gaijin

But Disneyland, yeah... the ice creams sold in the back stage I hear are pretty good too.
