good idea..... band.... it's fun... sometimes if the band does a good performance.... we get cake! (but it's never chocolate)

well...rewards...hmm...dunno if i've ever received anything as a result of a good performance, other than hardware, and awesome memories.

Although, there's always the performance, where you come off the field...and you, along with the rest of the group know you just went out and basically shat on the field...you stand there waiting for the staff to just let you have it...making you wonder why you are putting yourself through this...then you wake up the next day and do it all again! Aaaah yes. Isn't this fun?

i think band is fun if you make it fun.
if you dont try and like the people u are with then u wont like it because you are always with those people

I think the people are what make band fun, although the activity is great too. Even toward the end of the season, when rehearsal seems to last forever, it's great that there's always something to laugh about.

band is always fun... but theres alot of drama too...

well i have to say that band is fun at times however if we didnt have so much conflict within band then maybe we would be able to have more fun because its no fun at all worrying about people either talking smack, picking fights, although most of us have that mentality to simply ignore such comments or actions the presence of hostility still remains and that just makes band not fun, so: why can't everyone in band just get along and be friends? I am sure it would make everyone's season a wonderful experience filled with fun and excitement rather than having a regretful season because of so much dislike and hostility. So thats something i had to say ...sorry if it is a bit of topic though.

no you are completely right, band in itself is fun, but if people would just do what they are supposed to and not goof off a lot then band would be a little easier and much more fun. I am not saying that to have fun in band you can't have fun, but the biggest thing that subtracts from the experience of band is when one person tells another person to do something that should have been done anyway, the they get mad at each other. Being mad at people that you spend so much time around is not a good thing. Everyone seems to get extremely hostile. If people would just relax, and try and have a good time while doing their "job" or their part, band would be much more fun.

well thats where the fun part comes in
you integrate it so that its fun to do things right
mm i agree with the other people... i would keel over and die without band
