band should be fun

Post by drumrgrl » Fri Dec 12, 2003 9:33 pm

When I joined band, i never expected it to be like this. Band camp was so hard for me my freshman year. I never thought I would survive. I stuck it out and it turned out that band was the best thing in my life from then on. Band can be tough at times, but has always been fun. If it isn't fun, then you aren't doing something right. With or without good performers, band is fun. (of course it is more fun with better performers)

Exactly, when you march of that field all that matters are those hours of pain staking practices you spet just to get one note of a closer in tune or the most insegnificant set. The most important part is knowing that you did your best. No one can talk trash on you after becuase if they talk trash they are probbably part of a band that has just as many or if not more problems than the band they are making fun of. So screw what other people say band isnt just a bunch of people making shapes on a football field....its a lifestyleand a family... a family thats gotta stick together.

peace out,

This should be posted in every band room!
For those that don't think band is fun...
WHAT DO THEY DO????
Seems interesting that most of the students that put down band also don't do ANYTHING! No sports, ASB, no nothing!

It's all about the Attitude

I love band too, cuz I find its all about the attitude!!! If you say to yourself "I'm glad to be here and I am going to make the most of this" then you will have more productive rehersals and better performance, (at least personally, the trick is to rub off on others and make them glad to be there too  )

Yikes...ever heard of the slogan what happens in vegas, stays in vegas...

yeah, probably a good thing to do with whatever is "happening" in your band...hahahah...at least it sounds like it would be a good idea.
